Bulking Update! 12/1/03
(Back to the main Bulking Page)

Hey everyone. I have been very, very, busy lately, hence almost two months without an update. And, it will be near impossible for me to continue/start up again updating daily routines. So, I am not entirely sure what to do, since I still want to maintain this site. Thus, I have decided to do a couple things. Firstly, I will update my status every couple weeks or so. Some new pics might find their way here in the near future as well.

Next, I will hopefully put up a questions and answer section, in which anyone can e-mail me their questions, and I will answer them. I will update this as frequently as possible. Of course, you can also choose to have your questions be anonymous if desired.

I also have had a good buddy of mine, Pat, volunteer to help me out with this web site. He offered his expertise, which I am greatly thankful for. So, the web site can be updated more regularly. Thank Pat everyone.

Lastly, allow me to tell you about some changes that have happened to me! I now weigh in at 181 pounds, so that is a 19 pound increase from 162, where I was at in my first set of pictures during mid-August. I figure I have gained 15-17 pounds since Early September, because I was 164-166 when I started bulking, if I remember correctly. I have all those measurements written down somewhere. As for specific measurements (chest, thighs, etc), I will withold those until I am completely done with bulking.

Anyway, I feel that 4+ weeks of daily routines and logs for bulking is sufficient, since that can give everyone an idea of what needs to be done. For cutting, I will try to keep an even more detailed log, and perhaps even have it last the entire time (If nothing else, it will take my mind off eating :P).

This brings me to my next point. I am going to continue bulking until late January/February 1st. I have made this decision based on mathematics. I figure that I want to get down to about 6% body fat at the conclusion of my cutting adventure. I would love to be done cutting during the final week of May, which will give me June to maintain and transition into bulking, which will begin at the end of June or early July. I believe I will be around 11-12% body fat when I am done cutting, which is a 3-4% body fat increase. I think I will hit about 185-190 in the process, which means each % body fat = 1.85-1.9 pounds. So, if I want to cut about 6% body fat, that means 11.1-11.4 pounds of fat that needs to be removed. So, at the nice and slow rate of one pound a week, that will be about 12 weeks. Even if I come in at 13% bodyfat at 195, that's 13.65 pounds needed to go. So, 14 weeks. I need two weeks to transition: one to take down calories about 500 to maintainance level, and another to bring them 500 below. Then, I have 14 weeks exactly. So, it works out, even at the worst scenario.

Unless I forgot something, that's everything ;). This should last you a little while, until I can get the Q&A section up. Remember to send in those questions to fatal007gb@hotmail.com or MYNAMEIZGREG@hotmail.com.

Cya later.
Greg
